The Creative Sleeve Drafting Workshop

A full day of pattern drafting for home sewers, starting with one of the most satisfying parts of any garment: the sleeve.

Have you ever made a garment and thought:

"I love this pattern, but I wish the sleeve was different."

Maybe you wanted something fuller. Or with gathers. Or a completely different shape altogether.

Most sewing patterns give you one sleeve option, and that's where the design stops.

But sleeves are one of the most exciting places to experiment, and once you understand how they're built, you can start changing them in all sorts of creative ways.

I'm here to help you do exactly that.

I've teamed up with William Gee to bring you a full day of sleeve pattern cutting in their gorgeous London workshop.

Start with a simple sleeve block. Leave with four new sleeve patterns and the knowledge to customise the sleeve on any sewing pattern you work with at home.

No pattern cutting experience needed. You just need to be comfortable with a sewing machine and used to working with commercial patterns.

Date: Saturday 10th of May 2026

Location: William Gee, 2a Forest Road, London E8 3BY

What You’ll Learn

manipulate a sleeve pattern to create new shapes and silhouettes

• Be able to apply everything you've learned when hacking the sleeves on existing sewing patterns
